Inverted index

An inverted index is a data structure that maps each word to the list of documents that contain it, allowing a search engine to find matching documents for a query very quickly.

Inverted index sits in the Retrieval & memory part of the Agentik {OS} glossary, which defines the words used to build and run AI agent systems.
