Vector index

A vector index is a data structure that organizes embedding vectors so a system can quickly find the ones most similar to a query, usually trading a little accuracy for large speed gains.

Vector index sits in the Retrieval & memory part of the Agentik {OS} glossary, which defines the words used to build and run AI agent systems.
