Tool selection

Tool selection is the decision an agent makes about which of its available tools to use for the current step, based on the task, the tool descriptions and the results it has seen so far.

Tool selection sits in the Agents & tools part of the Agentik {OS} glossary, which defines the words used to build and run AI agent systems.
