Long-horizon task
A long-horizon task is a task that requires an agent to plan and carry out many dependent steps over an extended period, where early mistakes can compound and keeping track of progress becomes difficult.
Long-horizon task sits in the Agents & tools part of the Agentik {OS} glossary, which defines the words used to build and run AI agent systems.
Also called long-running agent task.
