Structured output

Structured output is model output that follows a predefined, machine-readable format, such as JSON matching a schema, so software can parse and use it reliably without free-text interpretation.

Structured output sits in the Prompting & context part of the Agentik {OS} glossary, which defines the words used to build and run AI agent systems.
