Handoff

A handoff is the transfer of an ongoing task or conversation from one agent to another, usually together with the relevant context, so the receiving agent can continue the work in its area of specialty.

Handoff sits in the Orchestration part of the Agentik {OS} glossary, which defines the words used to build and run AI agent systems.
