User prompt

A user prompt is the message a person or application sends to a language model within a conversation, usually containing the actual request or question, as distinct from the system prompt that sets overall behavior.

User prompt sits in the Prompting & context part of the Agentik {OS} glossary, which defines the words used to build and run AI agent systems.
