Self-critique

Self-critique is a technique in which a model evaluates its own draft answer against criteria or instructions, points out errors or weaknesses, and then produces a revised version that addresses them.

Self-critique sits in the Prompting & context part of the Agentik {OS} glossary, which defines the words used to build and run AI agent systems.

Also called self-correction, self-refinement.
