Planner

A planner is the component of an agent system that turns a goal into an ordered set of steps or subtasks before or during execution, often implemented as a dedicated model call or a separate agent.

Planner sits in the Agents & tools part of the Agentik {OS} glossary, which defines the words used to build and run AI agent systems.
