Metadata filtering

Metadata filtering is restricting search results using structured attributes attached to documents, such as date, author, source or access rights, either before or alongside similarity search.

Metadata filtering sits in the Retrieval & memory part of the Agentik {OS} glossary, which defines the words used to build and run AI agent systems.
