HyDE
HyDE is a retrieval technique in which a language model first writes a hypothetical answer to the query, and the embedding of that answer is used to search for real documents similar to it.
HyDE sits in the Retrieval & memory part of the Agentik {OS} glossary, which defines the words used to build and run AI agent systems.
Also called hypothetical document embeddings.
