Euclidean distance

Euclidean distance is the straight-line distance between two vectors in space, used in vector search where smaller distances indicate more similar items.

Euclidean distance sits in the Retrieval & memory part of the Agentik {OS} glossary, which defines the words used to build and run AI agent systems.

Also called L2 distance.
