Conversational agent

A conversational agent is a software system that interacts with people through natural language dialogue, in text or speech, to answer questions, complete requests or hold a conversation.

Conversational agent sits in the Agents & tools part of the Agentik {OS} glossary, which defines the words used to build and run AI agent systems.

Also called chatbot, dialogue agent.
