Reward function

A reward function defines the numerical feedback an agent receives for its actions in reinforcement learning. It encodes what counts as success and therefore shapes the behavior the agent learns.

Reward function sits in the Foundations part of the Agentik {OS} glossary, which defines the words used to build and run AI agent systems.
